Runaways
Brielle and I went to the pumpkin patch today with Sarah, Brylee, Samantha, Austin and Emma. It was a beautiful day so I thought I would really love it but all I could think about all day was how next week is my last week to be with her during the day. I'm literally dying inside thinking about it and there is no cure. I sat in bed last night and cried my eyes out basically until I fell asleep while Chris tried to make me feel better. The whole drive to the pumpkin I had salty tears streaming down my face. In a frantic effort I tried to think of crazy ways I could get enough money to stay home and be with my sweet girl everyday. My mind went off the deep end as I drove further and further south (where we never ever go) and I had a quick thought to just keep on driving. Then I remembered I only had four dollars in cash with me and I would miss my husband terribly. Oh my gosh I have turned into one of those crazy psycho moms!!! I quickly decided against the idea and turned at the pumpkin patch. Maybe I will find a a random bag of money on the side of the road or discover the cure to Cancer by next week so I can stay with Brielle.

Aunt Ass-ley Comes to Town
So Ashley came to town to meet Brielle for the first time. It was a fun filled couple of days. Ashley cooked a fabulous meal for us, we went to the Farmer's Market, Baptised a baby, visited our newest park Guthrie Green and listened to the concert they had, gave the traditional Tulsa tour and spent much needed time with family. We also got a few cute pictures but what else would you expect ; )
Aunt Ashley let Brielle use her sunglasses because the sun was so darn bright! Little fashionista.
Listening to music at the Guthrie Green Concert. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Brielle getting to be held by Ashley or Ashley getting to hold Brielle.

Baptism and Family
Brielle was recently Baptised at Christ the King Church in Tulsa, OK October 14th 2012. We couldn't use our church, Holy Family Cathedral, due to a huge formal event going on that day. and our family came to town for the big day in her life. This was such a special day for Chris and I as well because bringing her up in a Catholic home is so important to us. We always wanted Chris' dad to be the one to baptise our children so in honor of him we asked Chris' mom to be Brielle's Godmother. She eagerly accepted and our great friend Tony is Brielle's Godfather. Most people who are not Catholic view the Godparents as the ones who raise the children if anything should happen to the parents but in the Catholic faith a Godparent sees that's the child is raised in a good Christian home. They make sure the parents are attending Mass on at least a weekly basis and are bringing the child with them. Godparents are and will be a very important part of Brielle's life so we are very happy with who we chose to be such a huge role model for her.
Before Brielle was born I made special shoes for her to match my wedding shoes. I am very proud of them and am glad that she will be able to look back one day and know how much she meant to me even before she was here. For her special day she wore the shoes I made her (which kept falling off during the ceremony) and the baptism gown that Chris was baptised in. The baptism gown is actually pretty special because not only Chris was baptised in it. His brother Eric, sister Ashley, mom, uncle Tim and uncle Philip all used the gown she wore. She is the first of the third generation to use it.
Father Matt performed the ceremony which was awesome because he is a good friend of ours. We could not have chosen a better priest for this occasion. Father Matt did play a role in our wedding as well so it was nice to include him in the next chapter of our lives as well.

Such a B-E-A-UTIFUL Smile
Today would be the day that Chris turns 36 and even though he is in Vegas (suposedly for work), Brielle decided to give the best birthday present and smile for the first time! It was the most wonderful thing ever! I could have cried (wait I did cry) and am so excited to see that sweet little smile everyday!

One Month Old
So surreal how fast little babies grow up, more so when it's your own sweet little one. It's been a great first month and she is such a joy to have. Being a mom is one of the best jobs I could ever have but it sure is trying at times. From learning how to breast feed to exploding poop all over EVERYTHING to sweet little snuggle times, nothing can trump the mom job.
Favorite Toy: She loves rattles, anything with a percussion noise gets her attention.
Favorite Food: Milk and formula (yes she is on formula due to me not producing enough)
Favorite Game: She loves watching and following our fingers move from left to right in front of her.
Sleeping Habits: Wakes up a few times a night to eat. She eats constantly it seems like.
New Skills: She rolled over at 2 weeks old and then another time at 3 weeks old (slow down baby girl). Very very alert, we hear how alert she is constantly from other people ever since she was born. She isn't very sleepy like most newborns.
Size of Clothes: New born and size 0-3 months
